Southeast Community College Lincoln Campus Residence Hall

The first residence hall on the SCC Lincoln campus, this new facility will house 246 students. Designed to be a catalyst for creating a sense of place on campus and take advantage of the current tree line, the building is sited to provide large expansive views into the natural habitat on campus.

The solution strives to provide spaces that will aid in students developing a sense of belonging and connectedness by creating spaces in step with the current generational needs while allowing for flexibility of future generations.

As a home for the students of the SCC campus, this hall serves the social and academic needs of the residents. Unit types consist of single, double, and quad room configurations and allow for a variety of cost and privacy options for students.

With an acknowledgment that all students do not study or learn the same way, a variety of diverse study and collaboration spaces are provided throughout the facility. In addition, social spaces connect the wings of each floor where students can intentionally gather and offer chance interactions through light-filled welcoming spaces.
