OPS Northwest High School
This interior renovation project for OPS Northwest High School demonstrates how impactful design solutions can be achieved even with a limited budget. The design team transformed outdated spaces, including the former weight room and wood shop, into a modern exercise area, updated locker rooms, a team planning room, an enhanced Pneumatic room, and a new CAD/CAM classroom.
Our approach prioritized creating a contextually appropriate space, featuring durable materials and design elements intended to stand the test of time. The resulting environment is comfortable, safe, and secure, supporting the Athletic and CTE programs for OPS Northwest.
To improve navigation and enrich the space’s experience, we utilized a carefully selected material and color palette, alongside graphic wallcoverings at strategic points. These elements offer intuitive wayfinding and introduce varied points of interest and movement within the space. Additionally, new windows were installed between classrooms and corridors, allowing the dynamic programs and activities to be showcased from multiple perspectives.
