Huyck House

Dr. Timothy Huyck’s first job was serving as a caddy at the Omaha Country Club. His passion for golf and the couple’s mutual love of the outdoors and family led them to develop land just north of the club.

The design of the five bedroom, six and a half bath home with a pool and Bocce ball court, is inspired by the private, sloping site, framing spectacular views to the west. Alexa Huyck’s California roots and a desire to have the home co-exist with the natural surroundings, led them to select a palette of natural cedar siding and a metal roof on the exterior.

The home was designed as three distinct buildings connected by breezeways–the family’s bedrooms, the more public kitchen, living room, and office area, and then the game room along with two guest bedrooms.

The interior features polished concrete floors, hand painted cement tile, and walnut casework. Additional features include an indoor golf simulator and a wine room.
