As part of the 2021 Fremont Bond Program, BVH assisted Fremont Public Schools with the renovation of their existing 280,000 sf high school campus, the addition of a 33,300 sf Career and Technical Education Wing, and the enhancement of the track and field complex. Geothermal well fields and heat pumps also replaced the aging HVAC central facilities, some of which date back to the 1960s.
The new CTE wing houses three expansive laboratories for automotive technology, construction technology, and welding. A health lab, an IT/computer lab, and a robotics lab are housed in smaller laboratories. Many of these programs are administered in collaboration with Metro Community College, who contributed to the planning of the curriculum and facilities.
For additional flexibility, the CTE wing’s central area is designed as a second student learning commons to house a variety of academic break-out activities and host assemblies and events.
