CCA Center for Applied Science & Technology

The new Center for Applied Science and Technology will unite and house the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), Construction, and Power Mechanics departments for the Community College of Aurora. Located on the CentreTech Campus, this facility will create a culture of collaboration, allowing exposure and visibility to the diverse yet related program elements.

The facility will be capable of supporting and growing the ever-changing needs of technology while supporting student’s success and the partnership with community and industry partners. CCA’s vision and mission to serve the diverse community they reach will be empowered with this new building.

Through a partnership with Aurora Public Schools, the Center features a PTECH program (Pathways in Technology Early College High School)—wherein high school students can work toward career pathway credits. The pathways build directly into program tracks at CCA, leading toward advanced credentials and associate degrees in STEM and high-growth industries.

Program areas include: construction management, diesel tech, power mechanics, chemistry, anatomy, biology, mathematics, physics, an innovation lab, shared offices, academic services, and PTECH spaces.
