Mike was born in 1966 in Omaha, Nebraska, and grew up in Elkhorn, Nebraska. He graduated from Elkhorn High School in 1984, entered the U.S. Marine Corps and spent six years in the Marine Corps Reserve. He attended the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and graduated with a master in architecture in 1992.
He joined BVH in February 1993, and his main responsibility is managing the specifications writing and master office specification. He is also a project manager and conducts construction administration. Mike’s interest in architecture started at a young age as he was fascinated with the building process. This interest followed Mike through high school and into college. He likes executing the design intent into a real, tangible thing, researching the latest building technology and products, leading clients through the process of construction and ensuring a satisfied client.
Mike and his wife Mary have two children, Nick and Sophia. In his spare time, he enjoys attending UNL sporting events and watching other sports. He and his wife enjoy working out at the YMCA and spending time and barbecuing with family and friends.
