Union at Antelope Valley

As with many areas of the country, Lincoln, NE suffers from a shortage of affordable housing for its urban population. BVH partnered with the Annex Development Group to provide much needed affordable housing situated in downtown Lincoln.

Balancing the need to provide parking and maximize unit count within the site of a city block, the design team strove to provide design efficiency balanced with comfortable units and interior and exterior amenity spaces. This design solution provides the qualities and dignity of a home along with the number and mix of units needed to accommodate the requirements of the proforma. 

The exterior skin consists of brick at the first floor harkening to the urban fabric of downtown Lincoln. The upper floors of the exterior are clad in a clean cement board panel resulting in a timeless design that will fit into the neighborhood context for generations. The building is articulated with balconies providing color accents and physical and visual connection to the exterior.
