Hawk’s Point & Path Hall

Increased demand for on-campus housing, a desire to develop a residential community on campus, and aging and deficient food service facilities were the motivating factors behind this new suite-style housing and student life/dining facility at Northeast Community College.

The project’s first phase calls for construction of the residence hall containing 200+ beds in a mix of two-and four-bedroom semi-suites along with amenities such as lounges, project/study rooms, game rooms, and other features designed to encourage student interaction outside resident rooms.

The initial phase also includes construction of a new main campus dining facility accommodating 525 people with exercise rooms, student life amenities, a computer lab, and conference facilities. The dining center is designed to be flexible for concerts, student gatherings, lectures, conferences, and other large campus gatherings. Offices for residence life staff are also part of the $18.2 million project.

Sited at the western edge of the newly developing NECC campus mall, the facility serves as a terminus for this campus green space, and uses exterior materials of established campus.
