BVH Architecture is pleased to announce that Ed Vidlak has joined the firm to lead the Higher Education practice and other business development efforts. Ed brings more than 30 years of experience to BVH, having worked on projects ranging from K12 master plans through more recent and extensive work across higher education institutions of all size and scope.
Ed spent the first 10 years of his career working at regional firms that took him around the midwest and familiarized him with the far reaches of Nebraska and surrounding states. His next 20 years put him on a trajectory of leadership in global firms that took him to projects around the world. As he transitions into the next phase of his career, he is excited to come to BVH, a move he describes almost as a homecoming. “BVH has been one of those guidepost firms throughout my career, connecting with past principals over the years, always with the highest level of respect for the quality of the firm, its people, and its design portfolio,” Ed stated. “I’m sincerely thrilled to be part of this next generation and our work to perpetuate the firm’s tradition in design excellence, innovation, and client service, well into the future.”
While Ed will be largely focused on supporting and leading the firm’s growing Higher Education practice and portfolio, he will also support other market sectors and business development strategies. He looks forward to working with varied project types and clients, and looking for opportunities where higher education intersects with BVH’s other markets. Ed’s experience with marketing in Denver and the Front Range also positions him well to support the firm’s growing Denver practice.
