Zach, a native of Seward, NE, joined BVH in 2011, and have worked on a variety of projects. Zach received his master of architecture from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 2012. Following graduation, he joined BVH full-time, taking a special interest in computational applied design and research.

He works on projects of various sizes, applying divergent design solutions anchored in research and data-driven analysis. He also works on developing custom tools that utilize emerging technologies to better solve design problems. He teaches a course on parametric modeling at the UNL College of Architecture.

Zach is a husband and the father to three little girls. He enjoys working and playing with his daughters on their family acreage.

What is the favorite place you have visited?
San Francisco, California.

How do you engage with your community?
I serve on the board of the Pregnancy Center of Lincoln and also serve my church in various capacities. 

What is your area of interest or research?
I’m particularly interested in how we leverage emerging technology to build better buildings and further architecture.
