Seth joined BVH in October of 2025. He is originally from Cleveland, Ohio and attended undergrad at Case Western Reserve University where he double majored in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. Following his undergraduate studies, Seth moved to Chicago to pursue his Masters of Architecture at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Seth made the pivot from engineering to architecture not only because he wanted to engage in more creative design work, but also because he wanted to work on design in a way that meaningfully and tangibly impacts the lives of people every day.
Outside of work you can find Seth training for his next race, usually a triathlon, or rock climbing with his wife. In between all of the swimming, cycling, running, and rock climbing you can find Seth relaxing at home with his wife and two dogs.
What’s your favorite place you’ve visited?
Abroad? Lisbon, Portugal. In the US? A tie between San Francisco and New York City.
What is the most impactful thing you’ve learned over the course of your career?
Do not be afraid to ask questions or ask for help when you need it.
What is your favorite building, or who is your favorite architect and why?
Architecture is a team sport, so rather than a single architect I’d say one of my favorite firms is Studio Gang. Their work is rooted in its context, sustainability, and is ultimately creative and fun.
