Jon was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. He graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Design. He was part of the design team for the UNL Athletic Facilities before joining BVH in 2007.
He has always been interested in design and space planning. He grew up building with Legos and rearranging the furniture in his childhood home. Those interests have pushed Jon to continue to creatively solve problems, find efficiency in designing spaces and work in tandem with clients and fellow designers to produce quality projects.
Jon and his wife Aileen have three kids, Hudson, Noah, and Sullivan. Outside of the studio, you can find Jon swinging a hammer on a Habitat for Humanity build where Jon has been a board member since 2013. You may also see him coaching youth soccer for the YMCA.
