Jessica joined BVH in 2017 after nearly a decade spent in the advertising industry. Her career began in her hometown of Jacksonville, Florida, before she moved to Nebraska in 2013.
After years of helping different brands find their voice – from student loan companies to hospices to downtown associations – Jessica found BVH as a place where her interest in wayfinding signage, well-designed downtown streetscapes, and lovingly preserved history are appreciated. Coupled with her background as a writer and marketer, Jessica loves telling the stories of BVH itself and the projects it creates.
When not geeking out on projects around the studio, Jessica is usually running long distances, baking elaborate desserts, and spending time with her husband, Joe, and their pair of rescue labs, Des Linden and Burt Macklin, FBI. She is also a voracious reader and listens to a baffling number of podcasts, so she’s always ready to dip into her vast array of totally useless trivia to answer questions no one asked.
What is your favorite place you have visited?
Muir Woods in California.
What are you listening to right now that’s inspiring you?
More Perfect, a podcast series about some of the major Supreme Court decisions that shaped our country and our justice system.
What is your area of interest or research?
Telling stories that are effective, engaging, and encourage the reader to dig even further.

I don’t necessarily have just one, but I do love Art Deco and everyone’s darling, Mid-Century Modern buildings.
What inspires you?
Finding solutions to a problem through research. Breaking any sort of idea down to its bare bones and figuring out how to build it back up is extremely satisfying to me.
