Jackie is a registered interior designer that privileges the human experience in design through materiality, furniture design, and active space planning. Her calm yet confident demeanor leads clients through a collaborative design process to realize their intentions while awakening their sense of belonging and connecting to the interior space. She is an accomplished interior designer on higher education, arts, and commercial projects evidenced by a recent project published in the national periodical Architectural Record. Her work has received accolades from regional and national award programs, most recently AIA Central States and the Chicago Athenaeum.
What inspires you?
Travel. It allows me to see the world anew!
How do you engage your community?
I’m fortunate to be a mentor through City Impact, have children attend LPS, and be involved with our faith community at Lincoln Berean Church.
Who is your favorite architect?
I’ve always admired the work of Luis Barragan. His use of bold color and light is masterful.
What are you optimistic about?
I’m optimistic about the future. Change is inevitable but I am continually inspired by people. Resilience, adaptation, and the ability to overcome difficult circumstance, alongside innovation, seem to be innately human qualities.
