Dennis has been practicing design for 20 years, joining BVH in 2000. He grew up in Michigan and Tennessee but has lived in the Midwest half of his life, including raising his family here. He spent four years in the Air Force before earning his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

Dennis’ perpetual optimism for the cultural impact design can have is revealed in his projects. His commitment to resolute higher education and religious projects advances BVH’s portfolio with clarity and conviction in how architecture can serve the community. His most recent efforts are focused on student housing projects at Chadron State College, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the St. John Paul II Newman Center as well as Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa. As a partner in the firm he is an advocate and leader for design excellence while championing the efforts of the staff. Through consistent refinement, Dennis has developed a rigorous project delivery method rooted in a deep understanding of program and site to extract the highest potential from staff, clients and projects.

His hobbies include remodeling his mid-century family home and spending time with family. Dennis enjoys sketching and travel. He has also been an adjunct professor at UNL.
