

BVH’s design approach placed several park like areas integrated into the housing unit. Understanding the need for recreation, community and reflection, outdoor space provides amenities necessary for a healthy and dignified housing environment. Although the solution provides a lot of housing capacity with 181 units, the scale is diminished by the thoughtful use of material changes consistent with the massing of the building.
Outdoor amenities include lounge/common areas, fire pits, pet spaces, kids’ play area, garden/walking path, and community garden.
