Matt is a licensed architect who joined BVH in 2014. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, NCARB certified, and a LEED-accredited professional. He grew up in Fort Calhoun, Nebraska, and attended the University of Nebraska–Lincoln for Architecture.

Matt is knowledgeable in the planning, design, and preparation of construction documents and specifications for a variety of project types, including workplace, multi-family residential, K-12 and secondary education, and hospitality. He has an interest in architecture because of the ability of a built environment to have a positive impact on someone’s life. The sense of wonder and those positive experiences a building can convey is something that motivates him in all aspects of what he does every day.

Matt’s personal interests include spending time with his wife, daughter and son, traveling, and golfing as much as possible.

What is the most impactful thing you’ve learned over the course of your career?
No matter how much storage you add to a design…it’s never enough.

What is the future of architecture and design?
Delivering functional and esthetically pleasing architecture that enhances the user experience and grows the community with which it serves.
